Engaged Stewardship: Our Commitment to Community Well-being

For the past two years, we have been actively participating in the Kilimanjaro National Park Clean-up initiative, collaborating with our partner company to preserve the park’s pristine beauty. This environmental stewardship reflects our deep-rooted commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Our engagement extends beyond environmental conservation to encompass community development initiatives. Led by our director, Bobby, who currently serves as the president of the Rotary Club of Marangu, we have partnered with our sister company, Babylon Lodge, to make a positive impact on the lives of local communities.

In collaboration with Babylon Lodge, we have undertaken several projects to enhance the educational environment for students at Makuyuni Primary School, located in the lower side of Himo town. These projects include:

Construction of a toilet block: We recognized the need for a hygienic and accessible sanitation facility at the school and constructed a toilet block to address this need.

Kitchen renovation and cooking facility: To improve the school’s cooking facilities, we renovated the kitchen and provided a more suitable space for preparing meals for the students.

School painting: To create a more vibrant and welcoming learning environment, we painted the school’s buildings, enhancing the overall ambiance of the school.

Installation of a storage tank: To ensure the safe and proper storage of food, we installed a storage tank, allowing the school to effectively manage its food supplies, even during times of drought.

Construction of a handwashing station: Recognizing the importance of hygiene in preventing illnesses and promoting school attendance, we constructed a handwashing station, encouraging students to wash their hands before meals.

These initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to the well-being of local communities and our belief in the transformative power of education. We are proud to contribute to the development of Makuyuni Primary School and the communities it serves.
