Arusha Day Trip

Morning: Depart from Arusha or Moshi

Your adventure begins early, with a hotel pickup at 7:30 AM from Arusha or 6:00 AM from Moshi. A scenic 45-minute to 1.5-hour drive takes you to Arusha National Park’s entrance.

Morning Game Drive & Walking Safari

Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and maybe even the elusive leopard.

Then, experience an exhilarating walking safari led by an armed ranger. This is one of the few places in Tanzania to explore the wild on foot! Walking through the open savannahs and dense forests, you’ll witness wildlife up close while learning about the local flora and fauna.

Lunch with a View

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking the park. Take in the sights of Mount Meru, the park’s iconic backdrop, and on a clear day, glimpse Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Afternoon Canoeing Safari or More Game Viewing

In the afternoon, choose between an optional canoeing safari on the Momella Lakes, where hippos, flamingos, and other aquatic birds thrive, or continue your game drive through the woodlands and grasslands, spotting monkeys, elephants, and antelopes.

Return to Arusha or MoshiAfter a fulfilling day of adventure, you will start your journey back, arriving in Arusha around 5:00 PM or Moshi around 6:30 PM.
