Are you dreaming of conquering Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro? The Lemosho Route is widely considered the best option for climbers seeking an unforgettable adventure. With breathtaking scenery, high success rates, and gradual acclimatization, this route offers the perfect balance of challenge and beauty. At Everyday Safaris, we specialize in guiding climbers to the summit via the Lemosho Route, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and rewarding experience.
The Lemosho Route has one of the highest summit success rates, thanks to its longer itinerary that allows for better acclimatization. With an 8-day climb, your body has more time to adjust to the altitude, significantly increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
Lemosho is famous for its incredible landscapes, passing through lush rainforests, scenic moorlands, and alpine deserts before reaching the glacial summit. The route also provides spectacular views of Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau, making it a photographer’s dream.
Unlike the heavily trafficked Marangu and Machame routes, Lemosho offers a quieter and more secluded trekking experience. The trail starts on the western side of Kilimanjaro, where fewer climbers venture, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
The Lemosho Route follows the “climb high, sleep low” principle, which is essential for proper acclimatization. This reduces the risk of altitude sickness and enhances your overall trekking experience.
The route begins in the pristine rainforest, home to unique wildlife such as colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and even elephants. This early section of the climb is an excellent opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts to witness Kilimanjaro’s rich biodiversity.
At Everyday Safaris, we offer premium guided climbs via the Lemosho Route, ensuring an unforgettable journey to the top of Africa. Here’s why you should climb with us:

Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail ascends to the Shira Plateau, offering panoramic views of Mount Meru and Kibo Peak. Arrive at Shira 2 Camp, where you’ll witness a stunning sunset over Kilimanjaro.
Today’s trek is crucial for acclimatization. You’ll ascend to Lava Tower (4,600m), a dramatic volcanic formation, before descending into the lush Barranco Valley. Enjoy a night at Barranco Camp, surrounded by towering cliffs.
A thrilling climb up Barranco Wall, one of the most exciting parts of the trek, leads to the scenic Karanga Camp. This short trek aids in further acclimatization.
