5:00 AM:Departue from Arusha/Moshi
Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. We drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a scenic 3–4 hour journey through the Tanzanian countryside.
8:30 AM:Enter the Ngorongro Conservation Area
Upon arrival, we descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The lush landscape is home to diverse ecosystems that support an impressive concentration of wildlife
9:30 AM:Game Drive in Ngorongro Crater
Enjoy a half-day game drive inside the crater, where you can see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, and the endangered black rhino. The crater also features Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake attracting flocks of flamingos and other water birds.
12:30 PM:Picnic Lunch in the Crater
We take a break at a scenic picnic site, often near the hippo pool, where you can enjoy a delicious packed lunch surrounded by nature.
1:30 PM:Picnic Lunch in the Crater
After lunch, continue exploring different parts of the crater, looking for more wildlife. Around 2:30 PM, we begin our ascent out of the crater and start the return journey.
6:00 PM:Return to Arusha/Moshi
Arrive back at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi after an incredible day in the wild.
