Mount Meru Safety and Acclimatization

Leave Arusha for Arusha National Park and complete the required entry formalities at Momella Gate before beginning the guided walk on the lower Mount Meru route. The first section passes through open grassland and montane forest where giraffe, buffalo, colobus monkeys and other wildlife may be encountered, so ranger instructions and group discipline are important.
